Pasko gave up everything in his "earthly" life to do God's will in his life. There are not many people who made the honest decision to do away with their creature comforts, good paying job and their earthly surroundings to life a simple life and dependence on God. A life of passion and dedication to God, and to have that deeper and closer walk with God, that most people cannot imagine!
Michael Pasko is such a man. A man of purity and honesty who lived in the streets and homeless shelters in San Antonio to further develop his artistic talents. As God as his teacher, his friend and his director, Pasko listens to the divine intervention of God, and then proceeds with the creations which have been revealed to him.
Devoted on a path which would be his calling; Pasko had to humble himself and search to amplify his spiritually. Pasko's enduring character and perseverance has blessed him. His life was set on a course that would test his identity as a man and his faith as an artist. Pasko has persevered and never looked back at his life to this day.
Pasko seeks the truth in a grandiose style with his chisel in hand and a colossal of imagination. His philosophy is to bring to people's attention the gifts of an artistic talent from God. Pasko's desire is to share his talents and creations with the world, and he knows that "this is his purpose in life." Pasko's work can be expressed as a physical illustration expressed in a wood medium. His wood crafting gives "birth to" the visualizations of the characters he is creating, similar to when God created each of us. However, Pasko uses wood to bring it to life through the use of a chisel and scalpel with precise augmentation and surgical incision forcing the chips to crash to the floor and wood particles to form a cloud that blankets the artist at the right moment in time. Pasko's execution in detail is symbolic of an artist "in love" with his art. Pasko has been blessed with a deep divine interpretation from God.
